„Malen beglückt mich und fordert mich gleichermaßen, Malen braucht meine Hingabe, meinen Mut, mein Wollen, mein Loslassen, die Auseinandersetzung mit meinen Grenzen. Es ist der Respekt für den Raum, das Warten, der Moment der Offenbarung und des Staunens.

Seit meinem ersten Kunststudium 1979 an der Universität Bremen bis heute als Meisterschülerin bei Prof. Lüpertz und Studentin bei Prof. Jerry Zeniuk und Ingrid Floss erfüllt mich die Malerei und ist, wie mir oft scheint, die größte Herausforderung, die einen ungebrochenen Reiz auf mich ausübt.“
